Missouri social work CE requirements
Recorded and self-study courses count with no hour cap. If you're audited, you'll need the completion certificate or proof you passed the exam.
You can carry up to 10 extra hours into your next renewal, but you'll need the prior period's certificates to back them up.
NASW and its chapters are approved sponsors in Missouri.
Required topics
These hours count toward your 30. Missouri dropped its separate diversity requirement, so ethics, suicide prevention and trafficking are the topics to plan for.
If you supervise
Qualifying as a clinical supervisor is a one-time step: a 16-hour supervision course plus five years of experience after licensure.
There's no recurring supervision refresher. Some CE vendor sites still list a three-hour refresher each renewal, but that rule is out of date. See supervision courses
